Overview

RACEWISE compares your race progress with your chosen finish goal. It shows predicted finish time, the pace needed to reach your goal and whether you are ahead or behind your plan, all on one easy-to-read screen.

Single full-screen data field

This is a single, full-screen data field. Set your activity’s data-screen layout to one field so it fills the whole screen. Add it inside your normal Garmin activity; Garmin continues recording the activity.

Read the paces at a glance

The large target pace is the pace RACEWISE recommends following to work towards your chosen goal. PACE is your current running pace; AVG PACE is your average across the activity. In the optional custom layout, the FINISH and NOW positions can show your selected metrics, so check those labels when changing layouts.

For example, if the target is 8:00 per mile and your current pace is 8:20, you are currently running more slowly than the target. A lower pace number means faster running. Use the Ahead / Behind indicator and HOLD, EASE, PUSH or GO guidance alongside the pace readings.

Set up on the watch or phone

Choose race distance, goal time and strategy before the start, including custom distance and hours, minutes and seconds. The on-watch editor keeps Increase or Decrease selected while you adjust a digit. Changes save automatically, and Back returns to a menu showing the new value and saved confirmation.

The updated layout uses clearer white labels, a larger Ahead / Behind display, the PACE and AVG PACE labels, and improved clock, target-pace and sensor spacing. Follow a loaded Garmin Course for available course and elevation context; Garmin continues recording your normal Run activity.
